Palm Bay Personal Injury Attorney Named in 2010 Florida Trend Magazine “Legal Elite”

Palm Bay, FL. – O. John Alpizar of Alpizar Law LLC, the personal injury and auto accident law firm, are named and featured in Florida Trend Magazine “Legal Elite” 2010. This recognition is achieved by earning the trust, confidence, respect — and votes — of their peers. The resulting list of 1,160 attorneys represents approximately 1.8% of the over 64,000 active Florida Bar members who practice in the state.

Balloting for this year’s list began in October 2009, when Florida Trend invited all in-state members of the Florida Bar to participate. Announcements in The Florida Bar News publicized the ballot deadline and voting guidelines. Lawyers were asked to name attorneys whom they hold in the highest regard or would recommend to others. Florida Bar members were also asked to name three best “Up and Coming” attorneys and Government attorneys.

“It is an honor to be placed among the state’s legal elite,” says O. John Alpizar. “This award is meaningful because we were recognized by our peers for our professional achievements.”

Lawyers were asked to name attorneys they hold in the highest regard or would recommend to others. The ballots were processed, checked and tabulated by Bradenton-based Outsource America and Suncoast Opinion Surveys in St. Petersburg. Each lawyer was given a score based on the number of votes he or she received and whether the votes came from within their firm (one point) or outside their firm (three points). Only lawyers who are currently licensed and practicing in Florida were considered eligible. Attorneys were also invited to submit names of lawyers for recognition in a separate Government Attorney category. The list of top vote-getters was further examined using membership status and practice histories provided by the Florida Bar. A panel of previous Legal Elite winners, representing a variety of practice areas in cities across the state, reviewed the selection process and the list of finalists.
